Introducing the McGangBang: a Brittain Exclusive

Thats right! Over at Brittain we now have a new item on our menu to even the score with Woodruff. What exactly is it you ask? The McGangBang, AKA the "Oreo Burger."

The McGangBang (as dubbed by chef Koonta of The Grill)

This extremely hearty meal consists of a chicken patty sandwiched between two burgers. Each piece of meat also comes with a slice of cheese on top for a total of three slices. Just one of these babies is enough to fill even the largest of stomachs--ok maybe with a little help from some fries. While the mixture of chicken and burger may sound repulsive to some, the concoction actually goes surprisingly well together. I recommend you all to atleast give it a try. With so much meat all in one sandwhich you will wonder why you ever ate anything differently. Its available only from chef Koonta, and ONLY at Brittain!

  1. Wow.... who came up with this idea?! I think its great that they are trying to improvise to make a greater variety in the dining hall ..

I think I'll go try it sometime tomorrow :D

  2. Wow that seems like too much meat! Did you make this up and just asked him to make it?

  3. That sounds quite unappetizing. I can't imagine trying to eat that without getting sick, but then again I don't eat burgers or chicken patties too terribly much.

  4. There's another name for that dish. Serious artery clogger. Just think of the three greased fried patties and what that will do to your system.

  5. Has anyone tried this and actually gotten the burger? I want to ask him, but I don't want to sound stupid if it was just a one-time thing that he did. Oh well, I'll put my dignity behind and order it tomorrow anyway :)

  6. So now you Brittain followers finally have something to brag about... I remember going there the first time and being like: "Where's the second part?" I've heard that sometimes cereal is the best option available...

Hey, I'm not a trash-talking Woodruff guy, I love parity in GT Dining... it would be great if we had some sort of competition going on... from what I hear we already compete for savings along with the Food Court.

And just to let my loyalties be clear: I think the Food Court/Student Center has got the best GT Dining associated food on campus. Even though it sucks when you have to pay for it, if you've got a meal plan.

  7. By the way, I think McGangBang is a pretty tasteless name for a sandwich, even though it makes sense. Last thing on my mind...

  8. Sounds quite tasty. I may have to make a trip to Brittain someday when I am really hungry. The name does bring odd images to mind. I like it when they make creative foods.

  9. This is not a joke. He really will make it for you (just make sure you ask the cook in the picture) Do not be embarrassed by asking him, he loves to make it for people and loves that its popularity is spreading. As for the "tasteless" name, I didn't come up with that either. I do however admit that it makes me laugh and I love the way that he says it.

  10. The McGangBang sounds really interesting to me. I think that the chicken on the chicken sandwiches looks too McDonalds-esque, so the McGB seems to be an appropriate name to me. I think that it would be pretty good, except for the high cholesterol content of the combination of meats.

  11. i've never tried it but for some reason i dont think that a fried chicken sandwich combined with two hamburgers would taste very good.

  12. Some people on the cooking staff have a really good time interacting with the students. This is just another way for the cook to have fun with his job. I'm working at a college dining hall could get pretty repetitive so making "special" dishes like these could bring some needed variety in the routine. Staff willing, I think it would be cool if more of these specialties were implemented.
