cookbook reviews

My first book is called "Candy", which belongs to a series of The Good Cook Techniques and Recipes. These series is written by the editors of Time-Life Books. Time-Life is a trademark of a international company, Time Incorporated U.S.A. Since Time-Life has already had a lot of publications, it owns a very good reputation. Originally, this book is created in London. The editors of this book are from various countries, so I think its intended audiences are the fans of dessert and all over the world.
Personally, I am a big chocolate fan, and the cover of this book are full of chocolate candies, so I picked the book without any hesitation.
Except Introductions and the Anthology of recipes, the book is divided into four parts:"Boiled -Sugar Candies", "Fruit Confections", "Nut , Chocolate Pastes" and "Dipping and Molding". In the book, most steps are accompanied with pictures. They make the book not only more attractive but also more clearer.
My second book is "Sunset Cook Book For Entertaining", which is written by the editors of Sunset Books and Sunset Magazines. Different from the "Candy", this book just contains some black and white pictures.
Yet, the arrangement of the text of this book is very obvious and useful. On each pages, there are two columns. one column lists down all the gradients and its quantities, while another one includes the dishes' names, introductions and the cooking process. In order to create a more distinct, authors also used different text size and color. By the way, above the quantities of ingredients, the numbers of serving people are also be noticed.
